Approximate competitive cutoffs (not officially published): Nirma University does not publish an official CAT cutoff. Based on prior cycles and applicant feedback, competitive shortlist profiles typically have CAT around 80-90 percentile (General) and 70-80 percentile (NRI/Gujarat quota). Selection is composite-weighted — CAT alone is 60% of the merit.

Detailed selection process — what to expect at each stage

1 — CAT 2025 Test

Take CAT 2025 (conducted by IIM in November 2025) and apply to Nirma University Institute of Management through the application portal by the 3rd week of December 2025.

2 — Shortlisting on CAT Score

Shortlist announced in the 4th week of January 2026. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the Selection Process. Mere fulfillment of minimum eligibility does NOT guarantee shortlisting.

3 — Selection Process (1st week February 2026)

In-person at IMNU campus: Personal Interview + Theme Development & Presentation (TDP). Candidates must register their email IDs as the Institute uses them for all communications.

4 — Composite Score

Composite score = CAT 60% + Personal Interview 20% + Theme Development & Presentation 10% + Academic Performance 10%. Plus up to 10 additional points for full-time relevant work experience in professional organisations.

5 — Admission Offer

Admissions released in the 4th week of February / 1st week of March 2026 strictly by merit of composite score. Successful candidates notified via registered email.

6 — Programme Commencement

3rd week of June 2026. The candidate registered in the programme must have appeared in all graduation examinations by the time of joining.
