Who can apply
Bachelor's degree: 60% / 6.0 CPI (Gen/EWS/OBC) or 50% / 5.0 CPI (SC/ST/PwD) in 3-year UG with Mathematics at 10+2 or in a diploma
CAT year accepted: 2025
Work experience: Not mandatory. Counted in final composite.
Age limit: No upper age limit
Class 10 12 Minimum: 65% (Gen/EWS/OBC). No strict minimum for SC/ST/PwD beyond UG.
Detailed selection process — what to expect at each stage

Stage 1 — Application submission
Online application via pingala.iitk.ac.in/MBADM-0/login. Application fee ₹2,000 (Gen/OBC/EWS), ₹1,000 (SC/ST/DAP). Window 25 Dec 2025 - 10 Feb 2026.

Stage 2 — Shortlist for GD + PI
Shortlist based on CAT 2025 overall percentile. Shortlist released by 20-25 February 2026.

Stage 3 — Group Discussion + Personal Interview
GD + PI assessment with panels from DoMS, other IIT Kanpur departments and external industry experts. Held 13-16 March 2026 at Noida and Kanpur centres.

Stage 4 — Merit list
Final score combines CAT, GD, PI, academics and work-ex per the scoring matrix. Composite scores of shortlisted female applicants are multiplied by 1.15 (capped at 100). Per-category merit lists published.
