How the Process Works

Once you clear the CAT percentile cutoff for any participating IIM (usually 94–97%ile for General category, lower for reserved categories), you receive a single CAP call. You register on the CAP portal, pay one consolidated fee (around ₹3,000–₹4,000), and select your preferred interview city.

On the scheduled date, you undergo a combined evaluation: typically a Written Ability Test (30 minutes), a Group Discussion (15–20 minutes), and a Personal Interview (15–20 minutes).

Your CAP score is calculated from these three components plus your CAT score, academic profile, work experience, and diversity factors. Each participating IIM receives your composite CAP score and applies its own weightage formula to generate a final merit list.
