The IIM JAP 2026 minimum eligibility cutoffs are: General 90 overall with 75/60/60 sectional (VARC/DILR/QA); EWS 80 overall with 60 sectional; NC-OBC 75 with 60; SC 50 overall with 45 sectional; ST 30 overall with 25 sectional; PwD 30 overall with 25 sectional. The JAP applies to IIMs Amritsar, Bodh Gaya, Jammu, Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Sirmaur, Trichy, Udaipur, and Visakhapatnam. These are bare minimum eligibility thresholds; actual shortlisting cutoffs are significantly higher, typically 94-96 for General.
Academic minimums include 10th at 60% (General), 12th at 60%, and UG at 50%. Candidates missing any sectional cutoff by even 0.1 percentile are automatically disqualified from the JAP pool.
IIM Ranchi at Rs 14L fees and Rs 17 LPA avg, IIM Raipur at Rs 15L fees and Rs 15 LPA avg, IIM Kashipur at Rs 17L fees and Rs 15 LPA avg, IIM Amritsar at Rs 15L fees and Rs 13 LPA avg. These are mid-tier IIMs with solid brand equity but lower placement ceilings than ABCLI. The JAP 2026 also removed "only corporate workex" restriction (informal sector workex now conditionally accepted with PF/TDS proof).
For candidates scoring 75-90 percentile with clear sectionals, the JAP IIMs are realistic targets. Don't miss sectional cutoffs; a 95%ile overall with 74.99 VARC is rejected automatically.
