The IIM JAP EOI (Expression of Interest) form filled after clearing minimum eligibility does NOT guarantee an interview call; it's only an invitation to apply, after which each IIM applies its internal composite score to decide actual interview shortlists. The centralized JAP process collects applications; individual IIMs like Jammu, Sirmaur, and Amritsar then decide who to call based on gender, category, academic diversity, and workex. IIM Ranchi at Rs 14L fees and Rs 17 LPA avg, IIM Jammu at Rs 13L fees and Rs 12 LPA avg both have internal score cutoffs above the centralized minimum. Expectation setting: at 92 overall clearing sectional, you fill the EOI form but may not receive interview calls from 5-6 of the 11 JAP IIMs. Interview calls typically come from 3-4 IIMs based on your profile fit. Only IIMs K, V, L, etc. (in the centralized scheme) call irrespective of internal filtering; standalone IIMs (K V L which give forms) reserve right to internally filter further before calling. Practically, fill the EOI for all 11 JAP IIMs because it's free and gives you maximum chances. Focus on IIMs where your profile is strongest: female non-engineer with 9/9/8 at 95%ile has highest chances at Ranchi and Udaipur due to their diversity-conscious selection. Male engineer with 95%ile and average academics may get 1-2 JAP calls out of
