How the Committee Is Structured

Finance manages Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, and Citi. Product, Sales & Marketing, and General Management verticals do the same for their sectors.

Each vertical has a mandate: maintain recruiter contact lists, invite firms to campus, negotiate slot timings and interview formats, and prepare the placement brochure that sells your cohort to recruiters. Consulting and finance verticals typically carry the heaviest load because those sectors account for 35-40% of final placements at Calcutta.

Before placement week, committee members conduct pre-placement talks, answer recruiter questions about batch profiles, and handle logistics-room bookings, meal arrangements, candidate schedules.
