How Much Relaxation EWS Actually Gives You
The JAP 2026 EWS floor sits at 80 overall with 60 sectional across all three sections, versus General's 90 overall with 75/60 sectionals. That gap looks comfortable, but remember: clearing the cutoff only earns you a shortlist call.
The composite score used for final merit includes CAT percentile, academics (10th, 12th, UG), work experience, and WAT-PI performance. EWS relaxation applies at the shortlist stage, not at every layer.

What EWS Does Not Cover
Don't confuse category cutoff relaxation with a free pass through PI rounds. Internal composite scores still apply, and WAT-PI performance is evaluated on the same rubric for everyone.
