Best MBA colleges where total fees are under 5 lakhs. FMS Delhi, JBIMS Mumbai, IIT MBA programs, and more — with placement data and CAT cutoffs.
The popular belief that a good MBA requires ₹20-25 lakh investment is simply wrong. Some of India's best B-schools charge under ₹5 lakhs for the complete program. Here is the complete list with honest assessments.
The undisputed champion of ROI. Government institution affiliated to Delhi University. 220 seats. CAT cutoff 98-99 percentile. The math is extraordinary — you earn your investment back in 10 days of your first job.
Jamnalal Bajaj is Mumbai's hidden gem. Takes MH-CET scores — so most students from outside Maharashtra don't even apply, reducing competition. ₹4.5 lakh fees with ₹28 LPA average placements. Finance placements rival IIM Calcutta. If you are from Maharashtra, this is a no-brainer.
IIT Delhi's Department of Management Studies is massively underrated. ₹4.2 lakh fees, ₹30 LPA average placements. McKinsey, BCG, and Amazon all recruit here. CAT cutoff is 98 percentile. Gets overlooked because people search for IIMs specifically.
Slightly above the ₹5L threshold but worth mentioning. SJMSOM produces excellent tech management and consulting profiles. The IIT Bombay brand combined with Mumbai location creates exceptional placement opportunities.
All the truly low-fee, high-placement colleges are government institutions. The government subsidy is what enables ₹2-5 lakh fees. The trade-off is higher competition for fewer seats. If your CAT score is above 95 percentile, seriously apply to all of these — the ROI math is irrefutable.
